Mobile Bay Events is a weekly calendar for Mobile, the Eastern Shore, and Dauphin Island, plus the festivals and big shows on the Baldwin coast and in Pensacola, built by people who live here.

Every Thursday we scour the web, checking 30+ local sources (venue calendars, city calendars, ticketing sites, community pages) and merging everything into one list, so you see each event once with a link straight to whoever's putting it on. Anything the software isn't sure about gets a human look before it's published.

The backstory

For several years we ran Mobile Rundown, a local newsletter and media brand. In 2026 we sold it to an incredible team who've since rebranded it as MobileBayNow (opens in new tab), and they're doing great work. Right before the sale, we'd started building our own events calendar because we were convinced we could do it better than the tool we were paying for. Mobile Bay Events is us continuing to tinker with that idea.
